I’m a Leeds based theatre maker, performer, writer, photographer and live artist originally from the Midlands.
I make interactive theatre performances, that playfully try to explore why and how I (and potentially everyone else) have managed to get it all wrong. I draw on psychology to craft shared experiences that enjoyably immerse people in their own flaws and foibles.
I prioritise a sense of true empathy within the work, where no-one stands above the criticism looking down on someone else, but we recognise ourselves and our shared humanity.
Over the years I have presented my work in various guises: I was a founder member of both Uncanny Theatre and Chotto Ookii Theatre Company, with whom I received a Total Theatre Award for "And Even My Goldfish".
I have had the privilege of working with a great many artists and companies including, Peta Lily, Jamie Wood, Al Seed, Pete Shenton (New Art club), Invisible Flock, Ellie Harrison, Pauline Mayers, the Institute For Crazy Dancing and Chris Goode among others.
My work has been seen at theatres and festivals in the UK and Europe including BE festival, Arena Festival (Germany), Transform Festival, HOME Manchester, Buzzcut, INcoming Festival and The Edinburgh Fringe . Commissions and residencies include Jackson's Lane, Leeds Playhouse, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, The Dukes Lancaster, Live Art Bistro, Theatre in The Mill and Yorkshire Dance,
